Whether you are planning a family trip for a dozen people or a large corporate program, I have the experience and skills to plan and operate programs for groups of any size.
Planning a trip for small groups can be extremely complicated. When you are planning for a group of more than four or five people, there are additional elements to consider, such as arranging flights from different cities (and perhaps on different dates), figuring out ground transportation, and arranging hotel rooms that have shared spaces or connecting rooms.
I can help to coordinate everyone's needs and streamline the process for everyone by managing the following:
- Airline tickets
- Hotel research
- Hotel bookings
- Ground transportation
- Clear communication to attendees
- Problem solving as needed (weather delays, etc.)
Hotel contract negotiation: I can negotiate better rates and terms than most people or companies could do on their own. Having negotiated contracts with scores of hotels over the last decade, I know what they can typically be flexible on and how to secure terms that protect the client as much as they protect the hotel. This can mean better attrition terms, lower cancellation penalties, overbooking terms that protect your group, lower food and beverage minimums, and possible discounted or free hotel services like WiFi, parking, etc.
Full program management: I can manage your program from beginning to end, handling all elements from site selection to on-site operation. I've planned more than 100 successful travel programs over the years. Even if you have planned your events yourself, having a professional onsite to work with your suppliers and venues can significantly reduce your workload and be the key to a smooth and successful operation.
My background handling groups:
As Operations Manager for an incentive travel company for over a decade, I coordinated more than 100 travel programs and special events for groups ranging from 24 to 2000 attendees. I managed all elements of our programs, including site selection, contract negotiation, budget management, account management, copywriting, staff supervision, supplier handling, food and beverage functions, transportation, menus and entertainment.
Each of my programs included multiple special events, ranging from simple meetings and dinners to private functions at the Vatican in Rome and Ellis Island in New York City. Clients describe my programs as extremely organized and well run. I bring a calm demeanor and a systematic style to planning even the most complicated events.
My strongest skill is the ability to visualize, plan and manage the many elements of a complicated program, fitting together all the pieces with an attention to detail, and then seeing it through to a successful operation.
